Sunday 19/1/20 - Further ideas

In my notebook for propaganda I noted down the further ideas for this project and where I planned on going with this based on the work so far

I've made changes based on the initial ideas and other work done throughout the project thus far. One of which is an alternative idea for the mask. Currently my older and preferred designs are too complicated to make easily so I'll first need to figure out a simple way to make multiple copies. In the meantime I found a new design that particularly appealed to me. Inspired by a video on YouTube called Model Citizen which looks at a dystopian society. https://youtu.be/mVLrBJYGxk4 The video featured people adorned in these distinctive masks with a smile on. These really took my interest so I had a new design idea. I made very rough sketches to just note down the basic idea for the masks (when I actually make them they will have more features and differences compared to the original video). I felt these reflected my ideas well as the smile represents the mental health issues and stigma I wanted to talk about with this project. People suffering from these issues feel the need to mask their pain with false smiles and personas as the idea of these problems is typically neglected or ignored.
