Today we were instructed to create an installation using objects available to us and make it reminiscent of a cityscape. Then we had to take photos of it with miniature people to give the impression that it had life. Whilst I wasn't in the group that made the installation I took photos. We took a maximum of 12 photos and had to take them in black and white to mimic a film camera. I took a variety of shots with different styles in mind. Some of my favourites included having the figures as silhouettes against the moon (a lamp) or their reflection in pure darkness (using a turned off computer monitor). I felt I managed to replicate the idea of a cityscape through these fairly well and thoroughly enjoyed the project.
We also had our dark room induction today, this was simply to teach us how to use the darkroom for future projects.
