The initial mind map
I made this before we were set the homework just to note some thoughts

The Mind-map of issues

The issue I'm passionate about
It was hard to make a choice as to what I am most passionate about from this mind-map, it covers a lot of important topics to me in life such as climate change and discrimination (Two big parts of my life). However when it comes down to it, I feel most passionate about censorship since it covers so much ground and is something I consider really important both in terms of propaganda and in general life. I feel like it fits into a lot of different forms of propaganda due to the bias and lies usually featured in propaganda.
Censorship has been used for many years, most propaganda revolves around it. It's the idea of covering up what you don't want others to know. One reason I feel like it is so important is because in this day and age with such a vast range of social media it feels almost impossible to hide things. Then there's the opposite end of the spectrum, the government and media who are essentially in control of what is known and what isn't. They basically choose what the public sees, they bring focus to different aspects and can disregard others. This is such an important deal to me because it can affect the opinions of others and is basically just lying. It is used so much in politics too, take the UK politics for example and Brexit.
Images that express censorship

This was probably my favourite, it mocked the old WW2 propaganda used by the US. It uses the bold colours (usually red) and a recognisable figure (In this case Uncle Sam) to draw attention. However, this poster is mocking the biased views of the government and media, it is essentially forcing you to share their opinions and makes zero mention of anything else. It even mocks and berates you if you choose against.
