In response to my research both on Derek Jarman and Alan Bennett's work I decided to make a short video based on some of the aspects. I decided to record myself reading a short but famous monologue from the film Blade Runner, one of my favourite films that was also featured in the watch list. I chose this monolgue because of the context of it, it is a powerful speech based on the idea that this AI or 'replicant' has seen things that no person would normally be able to despite the short life of the AI. Much like the experiences in a human life, once they die these memories will be lost. Despite being an AI they are showing something that is a major aspect of humanity, experiences and how they shape us in life. Our experiences are very personal, even if shared we have our own perspectives.

To record the reading of the monologue I had to follow a tutorial (shown below) on how to remove background noise from audio.

Instead of a plain colour throughout the video or footage of me talking to the camera, I decided to use an abstract video of coloured lights moving like liquid. I felt that I wanted to add something visually unique to this video.
