Friday 13/11/20 - Weekly Evaluation 1

After the first week of this project I feel like it's one that interests me a lot, the concept of altered states is something I like because it's a really broad topic but can cover some really interesting themes such as state of mind and dreams. Not only that but the artists related that I've researched have already influenced me in my work.

In terms of the work I've done this past week I feel like it's helped give me a starting point for this project and given me the opportunity to do work I wouldn't normally do. One example is the photography, the portraits let me explore different techniques that not only were fun but I also want to use more in my actual photography and portfolio work.

However, not all the work helped me. Personally I felt like I wasn't best suited to the mindmap work and the majority of the ink drawing. They didn't inspire me as much as other aspects of the project so far but it doesn't help that they were analogue based work and I am more experienced in digital.

Overall I think the week was a good start despite this, I have a better idea as to what I like and new things I want to explore in future.
