I took a range of photos inspired by the moodsheet and my ideas to help showcase them and also give me some insight into how they'd turn out and what I would need to do in order to improve them. Overall I felt like these photos aren't what I was aiming for, this is due to a multitude of reasons. The biggest problem I faced was the dark, since I don't have access to a tripod shooting in a dark room is very difficult as I can't use longer shutterspeeds without the image becoming blurry. I attempted at times to rest the camera on different objects however this also limited the angles I could shoot from. I also tried using another light source to help light up the scene however it only worked in closeups, although I will consider this for the final outcome. I will try and find a solution to replace the lack of a tripod as buying one isn't an option.
Another challenge was the setting, as I am limited to my house things are more difficult. I don't have as much freedom choosing a setting so I have to makedo with what I have access to. I plan on experimenting in other spaces in my house to hopefully find somewhere more fitting and with more angles for me to take photos.
For some of these I tried taking some shots inspired by this scene in my original storyboard and a photo from my moodsheet:
The issue was that the light wasn't strong enough to create the same effect I wanted.
Despite this I still had some photos that I liked but that isn't to say they didn't have their faults. I want to work on adjusting the angles I shot from alongside the lighting. The favourites were the ones that showed the light similar to my previous shoot where I had multiple of these in a dark room. I liked this because they felt really out of place but it was difficult to see the surrounding area due to the low lighting.
I feel like I need to do research so I can produce the photos I want but I will also likely have to make further adjustments to my final idea.
