Inspired by a wide range of the previous work I had made so far I made a storyboard to showcase a rough selection of my ideas in the form of a short film. A big part of the inspiration came from both my moodboard and the ink blot experiments. I decided not to create this in a chronological order as I'm looking at the idea of dreams and mental states. The focus on this was creating a very out of ordinary setting where the viewer followed an unknown person and a bright warm light. I left out dialogue because I wanted something that didn't just tell the audience what was happening. The idea behind this is the concept of dreams and obsession, the figure is obsessed with reaching this bright light, what it is we are left to guess. What we do know is that for them it is unobtainable but no matter what they keep following, even if it blinds them or drives them insane. Or it could be a representation of their ambitions however they feel stuck, like it is always out of reach. They are seemingly dreaming of trying to reach this in some very weird and surreal space that contains a sense of familiarity mixed with the unfamiliar.
